Boarding

How are your pets cared for when you must leave home without them? The next time you are faced with this dilemma, let them stay with the caring professionals at Valley Veterinary Hospital. Our boarding facility proudly serves the Shenandoah Valley, Harrisonburg, Virginia and the surrounding areas with the same loving care our clients have come to expect from our veterinary services.

Our modern boarding facility is climate-controlled, and kept immaculately clean by our experienced staff. All feline boarders are kept together in a separate area where they are not exposed to the barking of our excited dog boarders. Canines under our care while boarding are walked 2-3 times each day. All furry family members will have proper amounts of food and water available to them at all times. Finally, in the unlikely event your constant companion needs additional care during their stay at Valley Veterinary Hospital; our caring veterinarians are only a bark or meow away!

Prior to boarding, all precious pets are required to be current on their vaccine schedules, to protect them, as well as the other animals under our care. Our canine boarders must be up-to-date on canine distemper virus, adenovirus, parainfluenza virus, parvovirus, and leptospirosis vaccines. Our feline friends must be current against feline rhinotracheitis virus, calicivirus, panleukopenia virus, and chlamydia.

Please bring any special diet food or medication your pet may need when you bring them to stay at Valley Veterinary. Any special toys or blankets are also welcome, as we want your furry family member to feel at home.

Our boarding facility fills up very quickly, especially during holidays and over the summer, so please make reservations early. If you are searching for a home-away-from-home for your furry family member in Harrisonburg and the Shenandoah Valley, contact us today to schedule your pet's stay!
